2017 ‘Win-in-Suzhou’ Venture Contest for International Elites in Oceania Finale


2017 ‘Win-in-Suzhou’ Venture Contest for International Elites in Oceania Finale completed successfully on 27th of May 2017 in the Rydges Hotel World Square Sydney. This annual competition is hosted by the Suzhou Government and is co-organized by Winglong Pty Ltd Australia, China Students & Scholars Association of University of Technology Sydney and New Zealand China Business Council.

Many distinguished guests came for supporting the competition as VIPs and judges, including Prof. Gang Wei - Chief Research Scientist CSIRO Manufacturing, Ms ZHAO Jing - Education Consul, Consulate-General of PRC in Sydney, Mr LIU Yu - Director of Suzhou Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau, Ms.ZHANG Hong - Division Chief of Suzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Mr LIU Yongzhi - Chief Representative of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) Sydney Office and Mr XU Lifei - Deputy Director of Suzhou High-tech New Zone Science and Technology Bureau and etc.

This year’s final-round contestants are involved in a wide range of fields, including (not limited to) new energy & sustainable development, new materials,  artificial robots, medical equipment and biomedicine, high-end equipment manufacturing and specialisational techniques. They come from all across oceania area, ranging from Sydney, Melbourne to Auckland. The first prize goes to Tan Songwen, a contestant from the University of Sydney with his The novel DPI carrier: flower-like lactose microparticles program. The second prize winner is Chen Nan and his program is High efficiency, high fresh air ratio air-conditioning system. Auckland Yu Shiqiang and his Wearable soft robotics platform is in the third place.
