2018 “Win-in-Suzhou” Venture Contest for International Entrepreneurs in Oceania (New Zealand) Press

The press release of 2018 Win-in-Suzhou Venture Contest in Oceania was held at Auckland of New Zealand on May19th, 2018. The venture contest is co-organized by Winglong Pty Ltd Australia, UTS CSSA and New Zealand China Business Council. The competition is hoping to attract projects at all levels, from idea startup all the way to commercialized mature projects to Suzhou.

 

At the Media Conference, Education Counsel Mr. Liu Wansheng gave a speech on behalf of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney. He spoke highly of the strategies of Suzhou government for holding the venture contest every year. He encouraged the young generations in New Zealand to participate in the era of entrepreneurship. As the second speaker, Emily Hung (General Manager of Winglong Pty Ltd) introduced the timetable, awards, polices and the July venture week in Suzhou. She hoped that the attendees could participant and transfer the message to their friends. After that, Ms Barbara Boyce from China Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand, talked about the previous achievement and experience of her and her company did with the corporation with China. She really supported such events like Suzhou venture contest as great opportunities for the startups companies and young generations. The last speaker, Dr Lu Guoliang from Scientists Association of New Zealand first introduced the connections with Suzhou venture contest and the previous successful cases achieved by the members recommended by their association. After all, he would like to suggest more elites to join in this year.

 

This year’s start-up competition is open to a wide range of fields, including (not limited to) New Energy, New Materials, Biomedicine, High-end Equipment Manufacturing, New Generation of Electronic Information, Energy Saving and Environment Protection, Artificial Intelligence etc.

 

The registration process for this year’s competition is the same as that in previous years: candidates can log on the website www.startupoceania.com.au or send an email to michaelli@winglong.com.au to download/acquire the application form and business plan form. The finale will be held on 27th October 2018 at Primus Sydney Hotel with one first prize of 50,000 Yuan (equilibrium AUD), two second prize of 30,000 Yuan (equilibrium AUD) and three third prizeof 10,000 Yuan (equilibrium AUD).
