Final call for 2016 ‘Win-in Suzhou’ Oceania start-up competition for international elites

Solely sponsored by Suzhou Government, a series of 2016 ‘Win-in-Suzhou’ start-up competitions for overseas elites has been rolled out in North America, Oceania and Europe, the purpose of the competitions is to attract overseas elites to settle in Suzhou by starting their own business.

Since March when the competition has been formally launched, we have successfully held a media conference, start-up mentoring workshop in Sydney and in Auckland. Two competitors have been luckily enough to have won an Ipad and an Iwatch in our early May lucky draw part. We wish the competitors can create more and better diversified new high-tech products and services.

Following by the May 4th start-up mentoring workshop held in UTS by the competition’s organizer, another start-up mentoring workshop in New Zealand has been organized in Massey University Auckland on 20th May, detailed information has been provided for attendees regarding the cutting-edge innovative industries in Australia and New Zealand, the key factors of attracting investments and the self-analysis, organization structure, management mode, marketing and commercial operating mode to achieve success start-up businesses, the workshop has also elaborated the ranking of various factors in the process of achieving success in start-ups. In the workshop, the general manager Ms. Emily Hung from the organizer-Winglong Pty Ltd Australia- has shared information on the incentives and policies of Suzhou to attract overseas talents and the following up event of Suzhou International Elite Week Program, she has also introduced the judging criteria and standard applied by Suzhou for its 10th of July International grand Final competition held in Suzhou. She wished a great success of the grand Final. The attendees felt the workshop was very beneficial and were quite confident toward the upcoming Oceania Competition.

The Oceania start-up competition has gained support from Melbourne start-up incubator, start-up club, Adelaide start-up industrial park, South Australia government, UNSW, Sydney University, Monash University, Melbourne University as well as student and academics Unions of various universities. We have so far received more than 70 applications ranging from new energy, medical and biological technology, and human intelligence, agriculture, advanced materials, finance, and education to Nanotechnology. We urge any interested candidate to lodge their application form as well as a detailed business proposal to us by 31st of May as we now entering the final stage of receiving applications.
